Pennsylvania State Requirement Details for Real Estate Continuing Education

Pennsylvania Approved Real Estate Education Provider: Code/Approval Number: RU003247

  • Every two (2) years, fourteen (14) clock hours of Real Estate Continuing Education is required.
  • Licensees renew by May 31st of every even numbered year.

Salespersons: For those Salespersons taking continuing education for the first time after the initial license date of December 1st, 2007 and thereafter:

  • Must complete 14 hours of Commission developed and approved courses including:
    • Required: 7 hour General Topics
    • Required: must take one of these two options:
      • 7 hour Commercial Topics OR 7 hour Residential Topics
      • Currently The CE Shop does not offer these Salesperson post-licensing courses.

Immediately upon real estate course completion, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course Certificate of Completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five (5) years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Licensees are encouraged to retain copies of their Certificates of Completion in the event that they are audited by the state. Please refer to your renewal application to determine if you need to submit your Certificate(s) of Completion with your renewal.
